ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT
This exceptionally graceful and generously proportioned bench is based on designer Juliette Liberman’s original prototype, which featured a wooden seat. It was made using the same steam-bending procedure traditionally employed by shipwrights to construct the ribs of boats. The prototype was transformed into a metal piece at Fermob’s workshops in Thoissey, eastern France. The result is the Charivari bench: a feat of technical prowess that looks to some like a breaking wave, to others like a rippling fabric, and to others still like a hammock just waiting to be relaxed in.
This large garden bench is remarkably comfortable, thanks to its single-piece design: the curved aluminium slats form both the seat and the backrest, hugging the contours of your body. Meanwhile, the cross-shaped steel feet make this bench incredibly sturdy and capable of supporting the weight of six people without bending. This item of garden furniture is made at Fermob’s workshops in Thoissey, eastern France. And its anti-UV powder coating means this piece can withstand the worst of the weather – and the test of time.
Now that your heart’s set on owning your very own Charivari bench, all that remains is to choose the colour of the slats from one of the 24 shades of the Fermob colour chart. As for the steel base, it comes in Liquorice as standard. Simply irresistible!
