About Gareth Graham
Gareth Graham draws inspiration from the human form, focusing on gesture and expression as means of conveying emotion and shared experience. His work explores the body as a language, inviting empathetic interpretation while acknowledging the subjectivity shaped by individual perspective. Influenced early by Renaissance sculpture during formative visits to Rome and Florence, his references have since expanded to include contemporary artists such as Ricky Swallow, Alex Seton, Ron Mueck, Antony Gormley, and Marc Quinn. While grounded in traditional, process-driven techniques, Graham’s practice bridges classical aesthetics with contemporary human experience, reflecting the pluralistic nature of art today.
